Dear Orly Community: It's hard for me to believe that slightly more than 4 years ago Orly didn't even exist. The moment we started to make the graph database, we knew we had stumbled across something very special.

I'm excited to announce that we've become part of Mesosphere, Inc., and we're going to join them to build an operating system for the datacenter. We chose Mesosphere because they believe in our community, they share our values and long-term vision, and they want to help us get there much faster.

Together with you, we've found new ways of connecting developers and data scientists with their data and ways to query that data to receive results that just weren't possible in a performant way. We realized that these new types of applications and queries needed to operate at a new level of abstraction—where the datacenter becomes a large pool of resources—and we've found a new home where we can make this a reality.

I personally want to thank you, each and every member of the Orly community, for what you've helped us to create. Thank you for putting your faith in us. Thank you for sticking with us through growing pains and stumbles. Thank you for bringing your very best to us and sharing it with the open source world.

Orly will remain open source and freely available under the Apache License free for others to use as they see fit. But lessons learned during the creation of Orly will aid us in making Mesosphere, Apache Mesos and the Mesos community stronger.

We're excited for this next chapter of our journey so on behalf of myself and everyone else at OrlyAtomics, thank you for coming with us.
